How we handle your information
Last updated October 26, 2026
AUCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community center at 55 Hillside Avenue, Teaneck, New Jersey 07666. This policy explains what information this website (auccnj.org) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean AUCC.
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to send us, such as a message or a tour booking, plus the basic technical information every website receives.
- We use it to reply to you, run our programs, and keep the site working. We do not sell or rent it.
- We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. Both use cookies; see “Cookies and similar technology” below for your choices.
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time by emailing info@auccnj.org.
What we collect
When you contact us. The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and your message. Each message is emailed to our team and a copy is kept on the website so staff can follow up. Along with it, the form records the date, the page it was sent from, and technical details such as your IP address and browser.
When you book a tour. The tour form asks for your name, email address, phone number, and an optional note. We use them to confirm your tour, send you a reminder before it, let you change or cancel it, and let our staff know you are coming. We do not send text messages.
When you visit. Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time, and keeps these in server logs to keep the site secure and running. To prevent misuse of the tour form, the site also keeps a coded (one-way) version of your IP address for about an hour.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and messages.
- To schedule, confirm, and manage tours.
- To keep the website secure and working.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade the personal information you send us, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who helps us run the site
We share information only with the service providers that run the website for us, and only for that purpose:
- Kinsta hosts the website, with Cloudflare for security and speed.
- Postmark delivers the emails the website sends, such as tour confirmations and contact form messages.
- Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (the Meta Pixel), as described under “Cookies and similar technology.”
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members, visitors, and staff.
Cookies and similar technology
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they view, and how they found us. It uses cookies and receives information such as your IP address, browser, device, and the pages you view. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Meta Pixel. We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and to help show them to people who may be interested. It uses cookies and sends Meta information such as the pages you view and your browser. Information you type into our forms is not sent to Meta. You can manage how Meta uses this information in your Facebook ad preferences.
Spam protection. The contact form and the website’s sign-in page use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from automated spam. It looks at technical information about your browser and connection, such as your IP address, and Cloudflare does not use it for advertising.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website still works without them.
WordPress sets cookies only for staff who sign in to manage the site. If you close the announcement bar at the top of a page, your browser remembers that until you close the tab, using its session storage rather than a cookie.
Some pages show content from other services, which may receive your IP address and set their own cookies when the page loads: videos from YouTube and Vimeo, the map from Google Maps, prayer times from Athan Plus, and fonts from Google Fonts.
Other services we link to
Some things happen on other organizations’ websites, under their own privacy policies:
- Memberships and class sign-up are handled by GymMaster, our membership system.
- Donations are processed by Zeffy. We receive your name, contact details, and the details of your gift from Zeffy so we can thank you and send receipts.
- Volunteer and member forms are hosted by JotForm.
- Our pages on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Yelp, and YouTube.
Children
Our Young Athletes program serves ages 7 to 14, but this website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through this website, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
Tour bookings are deleted automatically one year after the tour. Contact messages are kept as long as we need them to respond and for our records, and we delete them on request. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Messages and bookings can only be seen by authorized AUCC staff through password-protected accounts. No website can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@auccnj.org or call 201-525-2822. To stop the emails about a tour, cancel the tour with the link in your confirmation email.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
